The Merit Range of Pent Pressure Treated Shiplap Garden Sheds are one of our most popular sheds. It is made from superior planed timber from high quality chosen European softwoods. The tongue & groove cladding used throughout the garden shed means that it will last for many years combined with a good preservative. The Merit Pent Pressure Treated Shiplap Shed has one of the thickest cladding around. The wall cladding is a substantial ex.19mm softwood T&G Shiplap (finished at 15mm). The door, roof and floor panels are all made from ex.16mm softwood T.G.V. (finished 12mm).
We also offer FREE INSTALLATION to most of our sheds which makes the Merit Garden Shed one of the best value for money around when you compare like for like products. The Merit Shed comes with green mineral felt as standard.
The benefits of the Pent style is for the shed to fit unobtrusively into a garden whilst giving you lots of internal space for either working in or for useful storage for all those garden items, from lawnmowers, bicycles & garden furniture. The strong timber framework provides strength and structure to the shed. The Merit Pent Sheds are designed with a right hand ledged & braced door and glazed window to provide light into the garden shed. The door comes complete with a press lock and key for added security. The hinges are galvanised to prevent rusting.
COMPARE OUR PRICES WITH OTHER COMPANIES
You will be amazed by the differences
Look out for
- Thickness of cladding
- Thickness of framework
- Do they charge extra for the floor! Is the floor made from tongue & groove timber which will last.
- What do they charge for installation? Ours is FREE!
- Does it come with a lock?
- What sort of hinges do they use?
- Is it tongue & groove or just thin overlap timber?
- Has the company got a display site so you can see the type of building you are buying?
- Are the measurements what they say. One company is selling a 7x5 shed but it is actually only 6ft 9in x 4ft 9in. Looks cheaper but you are buying a smaller shed! Always check the metric sizes as these should be the most accurate.
The key to a successful shed build is for you to provide a firm and absolutely level base. Once the building is installed ensure you maintain it by treating it with an appropriate treatment shortly after installation and regularly . We also recommend you seal glazing units, inside and out, with silicone or other water tight sealant.
Your roofing felt should also be checked regularly to ensure that it is not letting in water and replace or repair as necessary.
